The account balance is held within the software eliminating any problems associated with damaged, bent or lost cards and requires less hardware, which minimizes the potential for mechanical problems associated with traditional debit card read/write systems.

Students or users can create their own account or that information (name, password, balance) can be downloaded to the On Account software directly from an external system (i.e. student database). Then, keying the account number or swiping the card is all it takes to gain access to make copies or prints.
